The original transmission cooler line fails when rust forms between the rubber hose and the metal tube because of the standard spring clamp. This Dorman OE FIX line uses a crimped connection that's 8x stronger than original to prevent corrosion.
Features & Benefits:
- Upgraded replacement - this transmission oil cooler line has been redesigned for improved corrosion resistance and greater durability
- Durable construction - a crimped fitting secures the rubber hose to the metal tube for 8x greater strength than original equipment to prevent corrosion
- Application specific - made to match the fit the function of the original line on specified vehicles
- Quality engineering - designed in the United States and backed by decades of automotive aftermarket experience
Tips & Tools For The Repair - Replace all Transmission Cooler Lines at the same time to prevent system contamination
- Apply Penetrating Oil to corroded or stuck cooler line fittings to help break them loose
- Disconnect the cooler lines using a Flare Nut Wrench and drain the transmission fluid into a Drain Pan
- Consider installing an In-Line Transmission Filter on the return line to prevent system contamination and extend the life of the transmission
- Measure the amount of old transmission fluid drained to determine how much new Transmission Fluid to add
- Use a Funnel to prevent spills when refilling the transmission
