Excessive solenoid pressure is caused by line pressure side-loading the steel solenoid modulator valve and the continuous oscillation of the valve, which wears the cast aluminum bore.
Correction
The modified valve and high-grade aluminum sleeve allows the bore to be refurbished, and prevents side-loading of the valve and future wear.
