Hella is committed to ultimate product quality. Hella defines ambitious internal quality criteria that apply throughout the entire development and manufacturing process. Test procedures and quality monitoring frequently go above and beyond that which is required:
- Heat, Moisture, and Cold Tests: To ensure products can withstand fluctuations in temperature and humidity, Hella products are exposed to temperature fluctuations from -40 Deg C to 100 Deg C in a climatic chamber.
- Splash Water and High-Pressure Cleaner Tests: Splash water (e.g. from vehicles ahead) poses one of the most frequently encountered environmental conditions for headlamps. Spray booths test products for leaks at high pressures.
- Vibration Test: Road vibration occurs from pot holes and different surfaces such as gravel or pebbles. The wideband random vibration test is used to test mechanical endurance strength.
- Dust Test: Dust frequently poses a negative environmental condition. Products are tested to ensure they seal out any dust.
- Submersion and Pressure-Seal Tests: Many Hella products are subjected to submersion and pressure-seal tests. Products may be submerged up to 6 meters in water.
Bulb Type To ensure your headlamp assembly will fit and function correctly on your vehicle, you must purchase the same bulb style as your original equipment. Low beam bulb type may differ from high beam, daytime running lamp, and other accent lamp bulb type. Differences are noted in the catalog, where applicable.
