This 4L60E-PRO Reprogramming Kit fits 1996 to 2018 General Motors vehicles equipped with the 4L60E, 4L65E and 4L70E automatic transmission. Does not fit 1993-1995, 2005 Corvette, or Hybrid applications. Common complaints on this transmission are TCC slip or shudder, code P1870 or P0894, harsh 1-2 shift, double bump shifts, 2-3 flare up, burnt 3-4 clutch plates as well as inconsistent pressure boost problems.
Features and benefits:
This TransGo Reprogramming Kit is designed for the aggressive sport driver with engine power additions that is looking for that competitive edge in transmission torque capacity and shift performance. This kit includes valve body, servo, pump, accumulator as well as internal components that are calibrated for higher operating RPM’s and pressures. Therefore, the shifts are short, firm and hold the power when the pedal is to the metal.
The included drop-in USA-made TCC isolator and regulator valve features longer lands which restores the hydraulic integrity of the circuit by utilizing previously unused and therefore unworn areas of their bore. In addition, this kit provides TCC regulator valve component options that will work with vehicles with or without active fuel management (AFM). This kit also includes TransGo's 7CS 3-4 clutch piston return spring kit for the input drum which reduces centrifugal 3-4 clutch apply and failure in 1st gear at 5500 RPM or higher. Also included is two of our unbreakable pump vane rings and our high-rev priming spring that prevents pump ring failure and high RPM pressure drop out.
Lastly, an optional “Gear Command” feature that holds 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear to any engine speed for 1996 to 2008 models only is provided. When the gear command feature is installed, this will allow the transmission to be manually down shifted to 1st gear at any speed. This kit can be installed while the transmission is in the vehicle on 1993-2006 models only without the input speed sensor. 2007 and later models equipped with the input speed sensor require transmission removal. Transmission removal is also required for pump rings and clutch springs installation.
