Zählen Sie die Zähne: Teilen Sie die Anzahl der Zähne des Tellerrads (großes Zahnrad) durch die Anzahl der Zähne am des Kegelrads (kleines Zahnrad). Wenn das Tellerrad 37 Zähne und das Ritzel 12 Zähne hat, haben Sie ein Übersetzungsverhältnis 3.08 (37 ÷ 12 = 3.08).
