• Uses heat build-up to flash circuit on and off
• Features an audible click, alerting driver that a directional signal is engaged
• Generally used in older model year vehicles
• Operates correctly under variable load-flashing the designated vehicle lamps only; or additional lamps when a trailer is in tow
• Does not indicate lamp outage
