If your original Shock / Strut is surrounded by a Coil Spring, replacing just the bare cartridge may require a Coil Spring Compressor to safely remove and reuse the spring and mount (not included) from your original assembly. Arnott's strut converts the vehicle's electronic struts to a much more dependable passive system. Arnott has designed this shock portion of the GM coil strut to plug directly into the vehicle's computer system without any alterations and will turn off dashboard suspension warning lights. Arnott's exclusive plug-in design allows for a fast and easy installation by reusing the OE strut's top mount, coil spring, isolator and dust boot. Arnott recommends replacing these struts in pairs.
